Our keystone to building articular function,
motor control,
and a buffer against injury
Ages 12 to 70+ attend including everyday movers, pro athletes, yoga instructors, grandparents, powerlifters, Jiu Jitsu players, students and more. A human skeleton is the only prerequisite.
KINSTRETCH® is a class built upon the principle of end-range strength training, the same principle that guides our work in the clinic. Typical strength training is muscle and pattern focused. End-range strength training is tissue-specific and joint focused: targeting muscles AND all the tendons, ligaments and fascia that create movement. This is how we rehabilitate, strengthen, and train. We teach you how to do the same.
End-range strength training deconstructs patterns— like walking, running, deadlifting, or getting up off the floor— and breaks them into more integral movement parts— flexion, extension, and rotation. We then use progressive and regressive isometrics in specific ranges to cultivate adaptation for more and better movement. We address the specific tissues comprising joints like the shoulder, hip, vertebrae, neck, knees, elbows, wrists, and feet
Our classes are designed to help you learn how to work safely and sustainably, and increase range of motion and articular control: the prerequisites for any and all movement. You get stronger in more useful ranges and you build a deeper connection to yourself.
Clinic clients use KINSTRETCH to preserve their treatment results.
Athletes use it to increase their performance and protect against injury.
Rehabilitators use it to regain capacity.
Retirees use it to support optimal function and mitigate deterioration.
Students use it to learn functional anatomy and physical education.
CLASS OPTIONS:
Individual Instruction
Great for learning all the basics of CARs, base positions, PAILs/RAILs, and end-range strength training. Or for more personalized attention and training specifics.
Group Instruction
Small class sizes ranging between 2 and 12 participants affords plenty of customized instruction for your ongoing training. Please bring a mat.
