Red Stuff vs. White Stuff

Hey gang.

Red Stuff. White Stuff.
(Spoiler alert: we help you train both).

RED: Multinucleated fibers of protein-synthesized contractile tissue. Muscle—pecs, quads, calves, slow and fast twitch. The meat of the human. Not that you'd eat a human ;)

WHITE: Extracellular micro fibers arrayed in an oleaginous solution expressing varying percentages of collagen, elastin, reticulin and calcium. Connective tissue—Tendon, ligament, cartilage, fascia, bone. White stuff composes each joint capsule.

They work TOGETHER.
You should train BOTH.

Lots of people get this wrong. They don't train both. They train only for hypertrophy, for more muscle. Meatheads. Or they train only for length and bendy limbs. Yoga pants wearers.

We're NOT saying don't lift weights.
We're NOT saying don't do yoga.
We're NOT saying don't stretch.
We're NOT saying that.

We're saying: you get what you train for, so train for what you need. Specifically.

START WITH THE WHITE STUFF: expand capsular space, create the connective tissue architecture you need, build its load bearing capacity.

THEN THE RED: slow twitch and fast twitch. Grow more, get better neurological access to it.

As the poet Wallace Stevens says in 'On the Road Home': "In the sum of the parts there are only the parts." The Human is certainly greater than the sum of its parts. But you gotta train your parts. ALL of them.

We help you get started by helping you learn how to strength train at end-range, which not only trains the red stuff, but targets the very white stuff running all the way into the joint itself.
